About me

Hi there, my name is Mavis! First of all, I want to thank you for making it this far on my page and taking interest in my work. I’m extremely grateful to be able to call myself a wedding photographer and be able to dedicate my time capturing genuine and heartfelt moments that documents my couple's special day authentically as a living. Before diving into professional photography full-time, I spent many years studying and working in finance. While it was a valuable experience, I've always known corporate life wasn’t for me. I felt there was a lack of fulfilment and wanted to create meaningful impacts with my work and connect with people on a deeper level. As a sentimental person, my love for photography stems from the ability on how it helps preserve and cherish small moments in my own life. To many, COVID created hardships in many aspect of life, to me, it was the welcomed monumental push that led me to turn my passion into a profession and taking that leap to follow my dream.

Wedding and portrait photography has allowed me to fulfil that desire. I find great satisfaction in knowing I'm helping others preserve important moments of their lives, even on a busy wedding day when they might not have time to savour all the small details. I take pride for my keen eye for detail and a love for storytelling, I strive to create timeless images that reflect the unique celebration of each couple's love story.

My approach is authentic and unobtrusive, allowing your day to unfold naturally while I take pride in capturing those intimate glances, joyful tears, and spontaneous bursts of laughter. I'm here to make you feel comfortable and be at ease so that your true personalities shine through in every photograph. I treat each wedding as if it were my own, striving to capture moments that I know my couples will treasure for years to come.

Before your big day, I love getting to know my couples. I think it’s essential for us to connect, so that when your wedding day arrives, it feels like you have a friend by your side, not just a photographer. This bond helps me capture your love story in the most genuine way possible.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me in baggy clothes, searching for my next camping spot, snuggling with my furbaby, or exploring one of my many hobbies. I’m inspired by beautiful landscapes, natural light, and the endless love stories I have the honour of documenting.
